Mary La Chapelle

  • My muse is a sad cow slowly chewing her cud. And her occasional profound sigh reminds me that hurrying my process comes only to a facile, nearsighted, unrealized writing. Time to wonder about something that becomes a story; time to inhabit that story; time to realize the vision in that story, and to render it with clarity and beauty.
