Rita, Kate, Brigid, and Jane all belong to the religious order St. Joseph of Carondelet; as of 2014 they are in their seventies. and still actively protesting and speaking up. I believe each of the four has been jailed for civil disobedience. They have also founded and supported social work ministries for battered women and the poor.
